LOS ANGELES, CA — The death of Jose Guadalupe Ramos-Solano in ICE custody is the latest in a growing number of fatalities under Donald Trump’s immigration crackdown. Families, advocates, and international officials are speaking out against the dangerous conditions in U.S. detention facilities and demanding accountability.

“Donald Trump and his thugs have created a government where people are treated like they don’t matter, and it is costing lives,” said Antonio Villaraigosa. “Jose Ramos-Solano’s death is not an isolated tragedy. ICE is failing to protect the people in its custody, and these conditions are completely unacceptable.
