VILLARAIGOSA RAISES $6.3 MILLION IN LATEST REPORT

MAINTAINS FUNDRAISING LEAD IN CA GOVERNOR’S RACE

LOS ANGELES, CA — Antonio Villaraigosa, 41st Mayor of Los Angeles and former Speaker of the California State Assembly, announces that he raised $6,314,509.63 in the California Governor’s race, making him the top fundraiser and the only candidate to reach this milestone with no transfers and no self-funding.

“As we enter the election year, our campaign is building the right momentum at the right time. I am deeply appreciative for everyone who has donated their time, energy, and resources to catapult our campaign to the top,” declared Antonio Villaraigosa. “Now, as Californians are beginning to pay attention to this race, and we pivot to make the case about my record as a proven problem solver who will take on Donald Trump and make California more affordable, I am confident that we will finish the June primary in the same #1 position we are in right now as we hit the latest fundraising milestone, right on top.”

Villaraigosa’s Communications Director Raquel Robinson added, “Antonio is consistently topping all candidates in direct fundraising support, demonstrating the strength and momentum of this campaign, and we’re just getting started.”
