VILLARAIGOSA RESPONDS AS L.A. GAS PRICES HIT $6 PER GALLON
LOS ANGELES, CA —Gas prices in Los Angeles reached $6 a gallon this week, up more than $1.30 since Trump’s war with Iran began, as Iran's blockade of the Strait of Hormuz continues to drive up global oil prices. Diesel in California has hit a record $7.46 per gallon.
"Six dollars a gallon. Record diesel prices. Californians are paying the price for Trump's war every single day," said Antonio Villaraigosa. "The White House says relief is coming 'when the war is over.' That's not good enough. Families can't wait. As Governor, I will fight to protect Californians from the consequences of this administration's reckless decisions."
Antonio is the only candidate in this race with a plan to lower gas prices while standing up to Donald Trump’s reckless political games that are driving up costs for Californians every single day.
